After receiving his education from a university in Mexico and his MBA from
Texas A&M, Guillermo Perales went into business for himself, obtaining a
Golden Corral franchise with a $100,000 SBA loan he was able to acquire. From
that humble beginning, Guillermo Perales has grown his company into the largest
Latino franchisee in the United States and one of the largest overall, managing
and operating over 400 franchises from Popeye’s to Cici’s to Burger King and
more. All this, Guillermo Perales was able to accomplish in the span of a
decade and a half, an impressive feat that has earned the businessman a slew of
awards, notably Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for 2008.

2012, the Latino Hotel and Restaurant Association gave Guillermo Perales a
