Guillermo Perales Goes Mobile

Guillermo Perales is the president, founder and CEO of Sun Holdings LLC. If you have not heard of Sun Holdings LLC, you have certainly heard of some of the businesses they own and manage: Popeye’s, Cici’s, Krispy Kreme, Burger King, Golden Corral, to name a few. In fact Guillermo Perales grew his company from one holding with a small business loan of $100,000, which he used to purchase a Golden Corral franchise back in 1997, into a huge holdings company with over 400 franchises throughout the region. Guillermo Perales himself is now the largest Latino franchisee in the country and one of the 10 largest operators in the US. And he’s not done just yet.

Recently, Guillermo Perales made the jump into a whole new vertical, purchasing several T-Mobile franchises. Currently, with one store open in a Hispanic neighborhood in Dallas, Guillermo Perales plans to open at least a dozen more around the area in the next few years. The move into mobile makes sense for Guillermo Perales, who has had a golden touch in everything he has done so far. Mobile is a fast-expanding market, and T-Mobile is one of the premier providers, so Guillermo Perales took advantage of a good opportunity and jumped on it.

Known for his business sense and drive, Guillermo Perales has made Sun Holdings into one of the premier franchisees in the country. His successes have resulted in his receiving an array of awards large and small, including Entrepreneur of the Year from Ernst and Young. Guillermo Perales works with integrity and skill to make his company great.
